Greater Manchester Devolution explained
There has been a lot in the news recently about devolution of decision-making powers from central government to Greater Manchester. This development, often referred to as 'Devo-Manc', has a particular impact around the area of health and social care.
This will have a really big impact on Tameside in terms of both public services and the voluntary sector. To help people gain a better understanding of what's going on Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) and NHS England have produced a guide and an accompanying slide presentation

- Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Devolution Standard Slides (Download Powerpoint file)
Commenting on the briefings, Ben Gilchrist, Chief Executive of Healthwatch Tameside said "We hope that these briefings will help update you about what is happening and that you can use and adapt the information to share in groups that you are part of. The voice of the voluntary sector and of local people is crucial in shaping the next steps so do let us know your questions and how we can help you engage with the debate and information."
