Pharmacy First - How is it working in Tameside?
At Healthwatch, our role is to gather feedback from the local population on their experiences of Health and Care services, and to feed this information back to providers and commissioners to give local people a voice, and to help providers understand how their services are working for patients.
We want to see how well the Pharmacy First service is working in Tameside, by understanding two main factors:
- How well the Pharmacy First service has been taken up in Tameside, and how it has been used
- Opinions from local people on how well the service is running and what improvements could be made
As part of this research, we are running a survey to gather the views of Tameside residents on the Pharmacy First service. This survey is open to anyone who lives in or uses services in Tameside, regardless of whether they have used the Pharmacy First service or pharmacy services in general. Alongside gathering patient feedback via the survey above, we will also analyse statistical data on the use of Pharmacy First in Tameside.
We will produce a report of findings and recommendations which will be sent to providers and commissioners, to ensure they hear the views of Tameside residents on how well Pharmacy First is working in Tameside. This report will also be published on our website and social media channels.
