Our volunteers are at the heart of what we do
Our volunteers are a valued part of the Healthwatch Tameside team and play a vital role in helping us to improve local health and care services for Tameside residents.
Whether you want to gain valuable work experience, help improve care in your community or learn new skills, there are lots of ways you can join us to make a real difference.

Examples of opportunities:
- Regular outreach (talking to people) in community venues such as libraries, pharmacies, hospitals.
- Helping at one-off events such as summer fairs, open days, market stalls.
- Helping to distribute information, such as posters or leaflets.
People can volunteer for as much or as little time as they are able. This could be once a week, once a month, or as agreed. Please get in touch with us to find out more.
Advisory board member
Can you help improve health and social care services in Tameside? Do you want to guide the work of Healthwatch?
As a board member you will play a role in setting the strategic direction of Healthwatch Tameside, ensuring that the Healthwatch Tameside vision, aims, and values are upheld.
You could play a crucial role in making sure the way that Healthwatch Tameside is governed. Good governance leads to good delivery. We need your skills, abilities, knowledge and experiences to be the best we can be.
Many thanks to all our volunteers. Without their support the Healthwatch Tameside team would have less opportunity to hear from the residents of Tameside.
